Partial Cancellation of Purchase

If you have purchased multiple items from us, you can choose to return one or more of them, even if they were purchased under one order. When you cancel part of your purchase, we will refund the price of the returned items. Please note that delivery costs are not refunded in the case of a partial cancellation.

Condition of the Item Upon Return

If an item has lost value because you have used it in a way other than what was necessary to determine its nature, characteristics, and function, you may only receive a partial refund of the purchase price. The amount you can be refunded depends on the item’s commercial value, and in some cases, it may mean that only the shipping costs can be refunded.

Complaints

When you shop with us as a consumer, the Danish Sale of Goods Act’s rules on defects apply to your purchase. You have a 24-month right of complaint, which means that you can have the item repaired, exchanged, receive a refund, or a price reduction, depending on the situation. For the complaint to be valid, the defect must be justified and not caused by incorrect use or other damaging behavior. If the item was purchased after being inspected by the buyer, the right to complain lapses.

You must file your complaint within a reasonable time and preferably as soon as possible after discovering the defect. Complaints made within two months of discovery are always considered timely. It is important that you have the original invoice for your purchase when submitting a complaint. The item must be returned in proper packaging. If the complaint is justified, we will refund reasonable shipping costs. A receipt will be required for the reimbursement of shipping.

When returning the item, please describe the issue in as much detail as possible. We do not accept parcels sent without home delivery or parcels sent cash on delivery.

Restoration 

Even if a piece is in stock, it does not necessarily mean that it is ready for immediate delivery. Many of our items must first go through our workshop, where we carry out a quality check. We do not remove patina or what we consider original and authentic. If you have specific requests regarding renovation or inspection of your furniture, please let us know.

In some cases, we might also recommend a renovation or reupholstering of the piece, which will only be carried out with the client’s approval.

Delivery

Mercato Epoca delivers both within Denmark and internationally. We work closely with reliable shipping companies to ensure that your items arrive safely.

As a standard, we deliver to curbside, but we also offer additional services such as carrying the items inside, delivery to higher floors, and collection of packaging. If you would like one of these options, please inform us in advance, and the price will be adjusted accordingly.

Smaller shipments are often sent with PostNord, GLS, or UPS and are typically delivered within seven business days in Denmark and up to 14 days abroad. For larger and heavier items, we use freight companies. If the item is in stock and ready for dispatch, the delivery time is up to four weeks. If the item has a longer delivery time, you will be informed by one of our staff members once we receive your order.

Insurance can be purchased for your delivery but is not included in the shipping price by default.

If you wish to collect your order yourself, this can be done at our store at Vodroffsvej 37 A, 1900 Frederiksberg C. Please remember to inform us in advance if you prefer to pick it up personally.
